Privacy โ MeteoDecid Event Global
Version 0.2.4 ยท 25 August 2026
Location and event parameters
The analysis needs an event location, type, site exposure, temporary infrastructure, crowd range, shelter, duration and planned start. A documented structure wind limit is optional. GPS is used only after permission.
Place search and time zone
Typed place queries and GPS coordinates used for place recognition are sent by the MeteoDecid server to the public OpenStreetMap Nominatim geocoder. Results are cached to reduce external requests. If the online service is unavailable, MeteoDecid uses its offline GeoNames index. The local time zone is resolved offline from the server's IANA tzdata.
Technical decision log
The log keeps coordinates rounded to about 0.1 degree, selected event profiles, result, risk, confidence, engine and source versions. It does not store the typed place name, exact GPS history or a device identifier. Decision records are retained for no more than 30 days and no more than 2,000 records.
External services
NOAA/NCEP GFS receives the selected coordinate area to provide forecast data. OpenStreetMap Nominatim receives a typed place query or GPS coordinates when place recognition is requested. No advertising network or paid weather API is used.
Browser storage
The current version uses session storage to remember that the welcome briefing was completed and, when checkout is used, to keep the selected event context during the payment transition. It does not use advertising cookies or behavioural profiling.
Payments
The sales interface is prepared for a later Paddle checkout connection. When payments are activated, Paddle will process payment and billing data under its own privacy terms. MeteoDecid does not receive full card details. Payment processing is not active until the checkout configuration is explicitly enabled.
No sale of personal data
We do not sell personal data. MeteoDecid does not include an advertising network or behavioural advertising profile.
Nature of the decision
The result is planning information and does not replace permits, an event safety or evacuation plan, official warnings, the organiser's decision or documented structure limits.
